Livelihood and Empowerment

A livelihood refers to capabilities, material and social resources and activities required for a means of living. For the purpose of the organization, apart from livelihood services for adults and children of legal working age, but also, to promote the social and economic emancipation of vulnerable but viable women as follows;
1. This is done through provision of financial and technical support in order to enhance the sustainability of their businesses, household income and food security which ultimately contributes to poverty reduction in the communities.
2. In terms of the technical support, the women are trained in life and business skills, leadership, Savings support and other business specific trainings like chicken rearing, pottery gardening among others. These are education and training services which aim to provide with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to benefit from social services, financial services, and vocational higher education.
3. Also there are Social capital services which aim to connect a participant with networks or groups for purposes including promoting sustainable livelihood and reducing vulnerability to child labor;
4. And also, economic strengthening services which aim to increase the economic well –being of participants.
